What is the product?

The contents of the bag are a blend of micronized waste polymers that have been processed using a hot mechanical plant and pulverised into a powder to ensure a maximum surface area for increased absorption of hydrocarbons. (Please see MSDS)

What does it do?

The product absorbs various liquid waste and is hydrophobic and will thus float continuously:
– hydrocarbons
– paint
– blood
– coolants
– ink
– and other liquid wastes that can be taken to landfill (See legislation)

Where must it be stored?

The bags must be stored in cool dry storeroom and out of direct sunlight

How long can the product be stored for?

The bags can be stored for approximately 6-12 months. There after the efficacy of the absorption volume per bag begins to decrease.

Can the product be placed in water?

Yes, the powder does float and the product is ideal for capturing oil in water. Once the booms take in too much oil, they will get heavier.

What do I do with it once it is fully absorbed?

The product can be placed into the same containers as your oil rags and your hydrocarbon removal company can remove . We offer safe disposal processes other than landfill.

Can I take these bags to landfill?

Yes, these bags can be taken to landfill as the powder in non-UV stabilized which means the powder will breakdown. Also, the hydrocarbons inside the bags will not leach as they absorbed not adsorbed.

Is the product biodegradable?

Yes. The product is biodegradable.
